Sight Service
Jun 15, 2016Working independently, the BBC single-handed Video Journalist approach proved very popular with charities who liked the authenticity this style could capture. (They also liked the budget - just me!)
Between 2007 and 2014 I captured more than 200 Adult Learners' stories for The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) Annual Awards Ceremony. There were so many that each one had to be under a minute. Also they just wanted to hear the learners' voices - no narration. So the sound bites needed to tell the story. I filmed this one at Sight Service in Newcastle and it remains one of my favourites on account of how well (and succinctly) the learners ended up telling their story.
